Child Sexual Exploitation - Awareness Training for Teachers and Staff

Library cse screenshot

This course is part of the Library and is free to use with all annual education subscriptions. Over the past few years, the impact of child sexual exploitation (CSE) has hit the headlines with the Jay Report which highlighted the abuse of 1,400 young girls in Rotherham and the criminal convictions of a number of people (including celebrities) for their part in historic child abuse cases. CSE awareness is an important aspect of keeping children safe and, as part of your safeguarding duties, it is essential that you know the signs that a child or young person is being sexually exploited. This course was developed by Tim Pinto, E-safety Consultant and CEOP adviser and Sally Baker, MSc in Forensic Psychology, BSc in Psychology, Youth Justice Foundation Degree and Senior Practitioner in Sexual Harmful Behaviour for Barnardos. Sally has worked with children and families for over eleven years in various settings including education, community work, youth justice and multi-systemic therapy. This course should take approximately 20-30 minutes to complete.
